Life Coaching

Coaching sessions will help you identify and crush your most audacious goals and ambitious dreams. These sessions provide action-oriented feedback and individually tailored strategies. The work is goal-oriented, directive, and solution-focused. Research shows that those who achieve at the highest level consistently receive expert coaching and support. Being brave enough to receive feedback and examine blind spots is critical to reaching next level success. However you define success, I’ll help you get there.

  • Coaching sessions will combine my psychological and behavioral change expertise with business coaching, sport coaching, and nutrition coaching strategies as appropriate to help you meet your specific goals.

  • Coaching packages offer you the chance to have scheduled sessions, as well as to request brief unscheduled check ins, and to receive unlimited additional support over email and text.

  • Duration and frequency of sessions varies depending on what we decide will best help you achieve your goals. Typically, sessions last either 30 or 60 minutes, with meeting frequency ranging from weekly to monthly.

  • For most individuals, multiple sessions over the course of several months is most helpful for creating real, long-lasting change.

Evidence-Based Psychological Services

Counseling / therapy sessions are individually tailored and evidence-based to support you on your health and wellness journey. Sessions will help you get to the core of a problem and get unstuck. This often involves letting go of old thoughts, habits, and stories about ourselves that no longer serve us. You’ll develop new skills and identify new patterns of thinking and acting that align with who you want to be and how you want to feel.

  • Therapy sessions last 45-60 minutes.

  • True therapeutic change typically takes between 6-12 sessions over the course of several months.

  • Weekly or bi-weekly sessions are recommended to make meaningful, noticeable progress.

To provide psychological services a provider must hold a particular degree and license to practice psychology. I am licensed to provide psychological services in the states of Colorado and Arizona. If your permanent residence is not listed above, I will not be able to be your psychology provider. I am happy to help connect you with a provider in your local area.

Telehealth Services

I provide services via phone or video sessions (Telehealth). Research consistently shows that Telehealth is just as effective as face-to-face sessions. Many individuals appreciate the convenience Telehealth offers. For those with busy schedules, it reduces time spent driving to appointments and waiting in a waiting room. Some individuals find it easier to be vulnerable or discuss difficult issues through phone or video sessions from the comfort of their own home. Others have physical limitations or logistical issues that prevent them from attending in-person visits regularly. There are many reasons why Telehealth is a great choice for therapy and coaching. However, Telehealth is not appropriate for all individuals or situations. Schedule a free consultation to see if Telehealth is the right fit for you!

Walk-and-talk Therapy Sessions

Walk-and-talk therapy, or hiking therapy, has become an increasingly popular alternative to in-office sessions or telehealth visits. Walking therapy involves taking  therapy sessions outdoors and adding a movement component. While relatively new, early research finds that many clients report enhanced benefits above and beyond therapy by adding movement. One reason for this might be that both being outside and walking have been shown to increase serotonin production, which has powerful mood boosting benefits. Another reason is that many clients thrive in a less formal therapeutic setting. Walking during therapy can facilitate more honest discussion, make it easier for clients to approach difficult topics, and even helps to facilitate mindset and perspective shifts when looking at difficult patterns or problems. Walking therapy is conducted at the preferred pace of the client and can include sitting breaks as needed.
